more options on how to save the session#70
Please create more options on the right click/Save session button like:
-Only save the tabs on the left/right of this tab
-Save/don’t save pinned tabs,
-Save all the tabs except this one,
-Save all tabs in all windows
etc..
Would be very useful to compartmentalise my tabs of different subjects.
It’s one thing I miss from OneTab—it lets you choose which tabs to save, not just save the whole session and then have to delete the ones you don’t want in the collection. PLEASE ADD THIS.
How about an option based on URL patterns too?
Like “save all feedback.gettoby.com/* tabs” or any wikipedia articles I currently have open etc.
In other words, not just the linear
- “all to the left”
- and “all to the right”
- and “all to the left and to the right” rules,
but also based on URL patterns (what if I wanted to ignore all these Toby tickets on the feedback sub-domain, but at the same time that I was closing all those gettoby.com tabs I ALSO wanted to preserve all of the blog posts I had opened from y’alls site? i.e. save all tabs whose URL path follows the pattern gettoby.com/blogs/* and save it to a new collection)
But sometimes the stuff I deem significant enough to save may not all from the same URL.
Heck, they may not even all be tickets or multiple blog posts etc. I could have one ticket from Github or Trello, one article I’m reading from Medium blog, a cloud storage site like DropBox, a GMail thread, a Slack channel and Python Docs
All of those are from seperate websites with wildly different URL patterns… but I, the human, still recognize how they are all relevant research to one single project that I’m currently working on and so I collated them together via the recent “groups” feature introduced in Chrome.
TL;DR in addition to selecting what URL patterns we’d like to save, it’d also be pretty amazing to save “tab groups” as well, since those groupings usually signify a related set of research – even if they contain tabs from many different sources
Allow us to name the session when we are clicking “save session” button dont make us do after its done….extra step thats not needed
