View: Columns w/ uniform-height - multiple collections side-by-side#405

I’d love to be able to select a few collections to view side by side, in columns of uniform height, and drag & drop between them.

Athough we have the “grid view” already, giving each collection/column a uniform height would make it easier to drag & drop between a large collection & a smaller one.

Examples - I think my brain is looking for something similar to layouts like Trello, Kanban board, etc. Multiple columns/tracks, easy to tell which collection each column is for.

Issues with existing views - Hopefully these screengrabs demonstrate what the existing views are missing when dealing with large collections:

• Even in the most compact list view, a lot of scrolling is needed to drag & drop.

• Grid view helps with this somewhat (some lists are side-by-side), but with the non-uniform heights it’s hard to tell which list you’re dragging to.
